The Instructional Coaching Planner

We’ve been developing the practice of instructional coaching for over 20 years, and we know the twists and turns that coaches’ schedules can take. So, we built a tool to help, specifically with the needs of an instructional coach in mind.

Composed of sections for Reflection, Resources, The Coaching Cycle, and full-page planners for each day, week, and month of the year, The Instructional Coaching Planner enables coaches to spend more time doing the things they love, and less time doing the things they don’t.

Reflection

Reflection is not only critical to the coaching cycle – it enables us to improve in everything we do. Taking the time to identify and explore our beliefs and habits leads to more authenticity in our work and partnerships.

This section – designed for a deep exploration of who we are, what we do, and why – is packed with guided exercises, time charts, organizers, prompt questions, trackers, and much more.

We have collected all of the most crucial resources an instructional coach could need and pulled them into one place. This section contains reference lists, guides, checklists, questions, and much more for the central concepts of ICG’s instructional coaching work and research, including:

The Coaching Cycle

A deep understanding of the coaching cycle is essential to a coach’s success, so we’ve dedicated a section to help coaches organize their many ongoing partnerships and keep track of tasks, progress, and notes as they move through each stage of the Impact Cycle, ICG’s framework for coaching.

Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Planning

And finally, the planning. The Instructional Coaching Planner contains full pages designed for each of the 365 daily plans, 52 weekly plans, and 12 monthly plans of the 2021-2022 year. The prompts, questions, and organizational tools in these pages can help coaches apply their learning, resources, and reflections to each coaching partnershp, every day.
