Kate Bieschke, M.S. Ed., is an Instructional Coach at Harvard CUSD 50 in Harvard, Illinois, and serves as the district’s Coaching and Mentoring Lead. With over 26 years of experience in education, including roles as an ELA teacher, Dean of Culture, MTSS Lead, and SEL Instructional Coach, Kate brings a rich, practical lens to instructional coaching. A Jim Knight trained coach, Kate actively uses Current Reality Capture (video self-reflection) to deepen her own practice and empower her partners. She believes that vulnerability is a strength and that authentic growth begins when coaches are willing to see their current reality with eyes wide open.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Illinois State University and a Master’s in Reading from Concordia University. She is an ISBE Nominee for Illinois Teacher of the Year (2012) and a recipient of the Those Who Excel Award of Recognition. Her mission is to be selfless, accepting, vulnerable and genuine while providing purposeful, authentic support that empowers all.
