As we all continue to adjust to new ways of communicating and working with one another over distances (as well as changing safety guidelines), it can be easy to fall into behaviors or patterns that can be damaging to coaching relationships and prevent learning.

In this video clip, I discuss two of the biggest learning killers out there - judgment and gossip.

Almost all of us are doing the best we can to navigate the changes to how we live and work, and because everyone’s health and livelihood are at stake, the temptation to scrutinize the decisions of others is as high as it’s ever been. But when we judge other people or gossip about them, we place ourselves above them, which makes trust, reciprocal learning, and communication next to impossible.
