Ayanna Cooper, Ed.D., is a consultant, writer, U.S. Department of State English Language Specialist alumna, “edu-story” teller and recently served a three-year term on the Board of Directors for TESOL International Association. She is the author of several publications including And Justice for ELs: A Leader’s Guide to Creating and Sustaining Equitable Schools, and Black Immigrants in the United States (co-edited). As the editor of Language Magazine’s Pass the Mic, series she highlights the intersectionality of race, English language teaching and learning, and centering on multilingual student experience.
