Who coaches your coaches?

We provide professional development backed by 20+ years of Jim Knight’s research

The Instructional Coaching Group (ICG), led by Jim Knight and his colleagues, has been studying instructional coaching for more than two decades. The goal of that research and of the broader work of ICG is that every student receives excellent instruction every day, in every class.

Our research has helped us identify several factors that are essential for developing and sustaining a great coaching program. We help people in organizations learn and implement these factors, habits, and strategies through workshops, coaching, consulting, and other forms or support.

The Instructional Coaching Group is committed to positioning everyone we work with as partners. We are transparent about what we share, what it costs, and how we can help organizations provide their own training for their staff. Our goal is to help our partners create the best possible coaching program, and we intend for that goal to be obvious in every interaction we have with partnering organizations.
