Paul Emerich France

I am a National Board Certified Teacher, Literacy Specialist, keynote speaker, and the author of two books, Reclaiming Personalized Learning and Humanizing Distance Learning. In all of my writing and speaking, I am to convey one central message: we must teach and learn in the pursuit of a deeper sense of collective humanity—and for no other reason.

I pour my heart and soul into my writing, and you can find my work in a number of education publications, such as Edutopia, EdSurge, ASCD’s “Educational Leadership”, the International Literacy Association’s “Literacy Today,” and Learning Forward’s “The Learning Professional.” I have been featured at SXSW EDU, as well as in The New Yorker, WIRED, and The Atlantic.

I currently consult with teachers, schools, and school districts, and offers educational support to families in pods and one-on-one settings. Most importantly, I am a very proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, husband to David, and dad to our two dogs, Maya and Barley.
