Recently, at the Instructional Coaching Group, we’ve been trying to create a structure for our daily conversations. Our plan always is to refine, refine, refine using our Lean Design Research Model, described in The Impact Cycle, but at this point we see coaching conversations involving four parts: (a) Confirming Direction, (b) Identifying Goals or Measuring Progress, (c) Inventing Improvements, or (d) Planning Next Steps. We’ve attached three documents you can use to put this process into action. And please let us know how it works. We get better by hearing from our partners, like you.
